Min: Russia to ease getting some travel visas already in 2019

MOSCOW, Feb 27 (PRIME) -- Russia will start issuing electronic travel visas to foreigners for some types of trips already in 2019, First Deputy Prime Minister, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said Wednesday at a meeting of President Vladimir Putin with government members.

“We plan to simplify the visa regime for foreign citizens with certain types of tourist trips in the near future. First of all, these are medical, educational, business, and humanitarian goals. We are talking about expanding the use of electronic visas,” he said.
